The Bush Team’s Natural Environment “Report Card”

It is likely that “the Bush team wants – for itself, to look good”.

And  to most, that would mean hiring qualified people to do jobs controlled by politics. Heavy emphasis should be placed upon being able to competently do a job. If the performance quality is lacking, performance hiding may become a goal.

The American public was unaware that the Iraqi war management had lost track of 190,000 weapons. And so long as that fact was unknown to the American public, that poor performance did not tarnish the Bush team’s image. But after the  auditors discovered the weapons were missing and TOLD AMERICA things changed. The Old Congress(Republican controlled), realizing its image would be negatively impacted, cut funding to the auditors. And Mr. Bush signed off on that action.

Apparently America was not supposed to know about the the missing weapons that it paid for.

While the Bush team’s mismanaging of various components of the Iraq war was one thing, the Bush team’s mismanagement of the natural environment is something else. Would the Bush team want to revisit that burning river?

A burning river problem was solved long ago. Would the Bush team want to risk setting up conditions that might return America to a burning river and two headed fish?

When British Petroleum requested permission to increase its pollution of the Great Lakes, the Bush team said “yes”. America ROARED “NO”! BP backed off.

And now it’s time for the Bush team’s natural “ENVIRONMENT REPORT CARD” to be revealed to America.

The “report card” should show how well the Bush team has preserved the natural environment. However, the natural “ENVIRONMENT REPORT CARD” may be in trouble because it may have clashed  with neocon politics.  It appears, at this time,  that neocon politics may want to hide the performance content of the natural “ENVIRONMENT REPORT CARD”.

It is likely that “the Bush team wants – for itself, to look good”.

So, what sense did it make to allow INCREASED POLLUTION of the Great Lakes by BP if the Bush team was already “ashamed” of its “ENVIRONMENT REPORT CARD”?
